Hey guys, how are you!? Wow! It feels so great to be back into blogging. It been a long time since I shared something with you. So as a comeback, let me share with my summer escapade! This year’s summer is a wonderful experience. Thanks to my parents, few things on my bucketlist are ticked off. We went for a roadtrip from Davao City to the north part of the Philippines! The trip was indeed tiring but it was fun and fulfilling. I am so happy I was able to witness and experience how wonderful our country is. So here are some snapshot from our trip!
We stayed for 2 days and 2 nights in Casablanca Suites.

This is a late upload of my fun shoot with my cousin Lance de Ocampo before I left for Cebu. He got bored and he thinks that the lighting that day was good to have a shoot, that’s why we did this. Since it is summer, i chose to have that loose feeling with my outfit. I wore an orange shorts to give a lively feel to my earthy neutral outfit.

Hog's Breath Steakhouse
"There are many things we’ve never done, but we ain’t never had too much fun"

After our graduation ceremony, my family decided to celebrate such important event in Davao’s newest restaurant, the Hog’s Breath, an Australian restaurant. Hog’s Breath Davao is the first branch in the Philippines, and recognized as the biggest branch in the world.

They have 89 branches,  84 branches in Australia, 4 in New Zealand, one in Papua New Guinea, China, Vietnam, Singapore, and in the Philippines. They serve authentic Australian dishes at huge servings that will surely captivate your taste buds. As for the price, for a Davao lifestyle, it is quite expensive but it is worth all the money. The food is very delicious and the ambiance of the place is also good.
Crispy coated chicken breast schnitzel topped with an Italian-style tomato sauce, and sprinkled with shaved Parmesan cheese. Served with creamy mashed potato and vegetables, or Hog tail fries and crisp house salad.

Combine a flame-grilled Sirloin steak and baby back ribs smothered with hickory smoked BBQ sauce. Served on a bed of Cajun Rice with Hog Tail Fries, and house salad.

Hand cut calamari rings dusted with salt and pepper breadcrumbs, on a bed of sweet potato chips and sweet chili sauce.

Pan seared fresh prawns, tossed with salad greens, freshly diced mango, shredded red cabbage and julienne carrots, seasoned potato chunks, cherry tomatoes, drizzled with Hog’s Breath very one vinaigrette.

Crumbed and fried chicken breast strips with shredded cheese, mixed salad greens topped with a light tangy Thai dressing.

Double beef, double cheese, tomato, red onion ring, and BBQ sauce, sprinkled with their very own Hog’s Breath blackened seasoning served with curly fries.

It was our first time dining their, and it was such an awesome experience and surely not gonna be our last. I can’t wait for the next one!

Thanks Klyde Jarabelo for these photos.

Việt Nam - Day 2

Day 2
On our second day, we visited the CU CHI TUNNEL.
The Củ Chi tunnels were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War, and were the Viet Cong’s base of operations for the Tết Offensive in 1968.
The Cu Chi tunnel tour was really fun, but it was too scary to go inside the tunnel because it really gives you the idea of being trapped if you really don’t know which way to go. I wanted to finish the 100-meter long tunnel but it just that I feel suffocated inside.
But before we reached the Cu Chi Tunnel, we had one stop over. We visited the Handicapped Handicrafts  to see how they make some of their souvenir items. After our Cu Chi Tunnel tour we immediately visited the War Museum, which shows the experiences of the Vietnamese during the Vietnam War under the American soldiers. During our trip, the visit to the War Museum was my favorite part because I learned a lot during that visit. It gave me a glimpse of what happened to Vietnam during that time. It was very historical and very educating. It is a must for tourist to visit the war museum.

Here are some photos during our second day in Vietnam.

This is my favorite photo in the museum.
After visiting the war museum, we decided to go home and get refreshed. On our way to our hotel, we come across these street foods outside a school and decided to take it a try and it was really delicious.
After getting refreshed we went back to Behn Tahn Market to have our last minute shopping and took our dinner. After dinner we wander around the city and looked to the restaurant who serves Scorpion and luckily after an hour of walking we reached our destination.
There ends my Day 2 in Ho Chi Minh! And the scorpion really made my trip memorable!

Việt Nam

January 25, 2013. Finally, my first vacation abroad! Vietnam, known as the Motorcycle City, well for me, was the first country I visited overseas. It was my first time to take a vacation abroad and it was really fun! I went to Vietnam with my family and stayed their for 3 days. We’ve stayed in Lan Lan 1 Hotel in the heart of Ho Chi Minh or Saigon City.

Day 1

We wandered around the city and we were able to see the wonders of Vietnam. We went to the Reunification PalaceNotre Dame Cathedral, to their very beautiful and historic Post Office, and we did a little shopping in Ben Thahn Market.

What I wore:
Cap, Elevate Apparel
Shirt, Maldita Man
Shorts, American Eagle
Sandals, Oxygen Clothing

Let me now share with you my 1st day in Vietnam!
The Reunification Palace

While walking around the city. This got my attention. It’s very Vietnam! haha

officially Basilica of Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception

As we were wandering around the city, we decided to take a break and take our lunch. We dine in this very cozy restaurant, the L’USINE Et La Cafeteria De L’Usine.

L’Usine is a retail space, cafe, and gallery in the heart of Saigon. L’Usine brings together emerging Vietnamese talent with established designers from abroad to offer an eclectic offering. La Cafeteria de L’Usine offers a place to relax, eat, drink during the moments in between exploring all that Vietnam has to offer. Aside from being a cafe, L’Usine also offers a wide range of clothing brands to shop from. They have brands such as Cheap Mondays, Clae, Greyscale, and Twenty8Twelve Clothing.

They have a menu written on a big black, as in literally black board.
A lot of delicious cupcakes to choose from.

Here are the food we ordered.

After lunch, we decided to go back to the hotel to freshen up and we then decided to visit Ben Thahn Market to buy stuff for our friends left in the Philippines.

After having dinner at Pho 2000, we decided to stroll around with my siblings to see what Vietnam looks like at night before heading back to our hotel.

Well that sums up my 1st day in Vietnam! So far so good! We are having fun and we are enjoying what Vietnam has to offer!

Cám ơn!

Last February 1, 2013. Ginebra San Miguel has set its second stop of the “Ginumanfest” here in Davao City. The event took place in Damosa Market Basket Parking Area, bringing some of the country’s biggest rock and alternative bands, Callalily, The Itchyworms, Rocksteddy, dance sensation “Sample King” Jhong Hilario, and the gorgeous and stunning Ms. Georgina Wilson (2013 Ginebra calendar Girl).

The event was really fun as the audience sing-along and dance to the beat while having a drink of the GSMI liquor products such as Gran Matador Brandy, Antonov Vodka, GSM Blue Flavors and non-alcoholic beverages!

I really enjoyed the experience because it was my first time to see Callalily and Rocksteddy on a concert, and it was great to see the Itchyworms again. All the time, I was just taking photos, singing and dancing to their music. My favorite set was the time when Jhong Hilarion, the Itchyworms, and Rocksteddy was just jamming before ending the concert.

Here are some of the photos during the event.

Bulgogi Brothers, A Korean BBQ Restaurant

Davao says “Ahn-Nyung-Ha-Se-Yo” to Bulgogi Brothers

Say hello to the new addition to our restaurant choices, the Bulgogi Brothers! Bulgogi Brothers finally opened its doors to the people of Davao. This is their fifth branch in the Philippines and it is  located at the 2nd Floor, Fountain Court, SM Lanang Premier.

The first Bulgogi Brothers restaurant was founded in the district of Gang-nam, South Korea. With over 38 stores in South Korea, to its first international branch in Manila, Bulgogi Brothers has won the hearts and palates of Filipino food enthusiasts. Aside from the good food they offer, the service is also at its best.and the ambiance of the place is really good. Now we don’t need to travel far for a taste of authentic Korean dishes!

So let me share with you my super fun authentic dining experience at Bulgogi Borthers!

So my experience begins with complimentary side dishes such as Pickled Vegetables, Corn, Sweet Potatoes, and of course the quintessential Kimchi. A pot of complementary tea is also served hand in hand.

As for our appetizer, they served us a very delicious chicken salad, the Chicken Naengchae,
that consist of fresh vegetable salad in oriental dressing with tender chicken strips on top. And they also served us the Hameul Gungjung Mandu, fried dumpling with seafood served with spicy sauce.

The appetizer was light and very delicious! Can’t get enough of them.

Let me now take you to their Main Course!

We ordered Haemul Bibimbap, rice topped with shrimp, squid, & vegetables.
They also have the Kimchi Jjigae, kimchi stew.

It was not my first time to try a Bibimbap. My sisters are Korean Fans so they tried making Bibimbap at home, but Bulgogi Brothers’ Bibimpam was superb!

We also ordered the Bulgogi Brothers Special, heart-shaped marinated beef grilled with sweet potatoes and vegetables. The best thing about their barbecue is that it will be cooked and served right at your table, on the spot! The dish is also served with 3 different sauces that will compliment your taste buds.

Bulgogi Brothers Special

Cap the hearty lunch or dinner with a wide range of beverages that includes various Wines, Korean Soju, and Fresh Fruit Juices, among others. Delight in all these dishes in a contemporary Korean ambiance and decor that suggests a family atmosphere and makes everyone feel right at home with every visit.

Bulgogi Brothers also offers Korean Ice Cream for dessert! They have a lot of choices to choose from and as for me, I chose my all-time favorite, the Melona Ice Cream, the green one in the photo.

Bulgogi Brothers has proven that is more than just good food as it is know for in Korea. Guests will enjoy the exceptional, authentic Korean Food, cozy and charming ambiance as well as the special quality of service that is akin to Bistro. Soon, we will open Bulgogi Brothers in Cagayan de Oro in line with our expansion plans. This way, we bring the concept closer to more people who love Korean food.”
- Jean Paul Manuud, Bistro Group of Restaurants’ Chief Operating Officer

I won’t be shocked that Bulgogi Brothers will be a hit in the city for Bulgogi Brothers really mean business. They really make sure that customers receive the utmost satisfaction that restaurants could give.

So here ends my fun little journey with BULGOGI BROTHERS, A Korean BBQ Restaurant! Hope you enjoyed it!

Thank you Miss Lisa for inviting us! Till next time!
And credits to Lance de Ocampo for the photos.

Not My Typical Sunday

Yesterday was not my typical Sunday. I didn’t stayed home and just watch TV or just stay inside my room and sleep. I went out around 3pm to meet with my boss/friend Jacobin. We spent the afternoon just talking about work and different tourist places around Southeast Asia with her college professor Ms. Mae Fenandez. We stayed in Bo’s Coffee Shop in SM City Davao Annex. We had Coffee Americano and New York Cheesecake. It was heaven! Really love their cakes!

After a few hours, Maam Mae already left and we got really hungry. So we look for a place to dine.

I have been eyeing this chicken house inside the SM Mall of Davao Annex for I have heard a lot of good feedback from my friends about their food menu. And gladly, Jacob agreed with me to dine at Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken.

He ordered the Buffalo Chicken Fajita which was really spicy and I ordered the Everyday Platter D with Garlic Chicken, Fish Fillet, Java Rice, and a cup of corn. It was really delicious and heavy! lol.

(Sorry for this picture. It was just f*ckin delish! ahaha)

After dinner, Jacob decided to stay at Krispy Kreme so that he can start working. We ordered Wild Berry and Mango Chillers! Im not really a fan of Mango Shakes but it was delicious! I can’t help but buy another one! haha. Before heading home, I ordered a bottle of Arizona Blueberry White Tea drink!

Yesterday was really a fun day spent! Food trip! I got bankrupt but it was all worth it. The food and the experienced shared was a memory to remember. Can’t wait for the next one! :)

P.S. Thanks boss Jacob for the treat! :)

Pandas and Wolves

This maybe a very late post but still this is worth sharing to you guys. It was really a nice experience to share a photoshoot experience with my brother. This was his first time to be a model for a shoot. He is always the Man-behind-the-lens and good for him he still able to manage and have fun during the whole shoot.

As soon as we started the shoot, it was really funny and a bit awkward ‘coz we don’t know how to project to the camera since it’s our first time to be together for a shoot. We were talking to ourselves on what to do and end up just laughing during the whole process but soon enough we managed to give some good shots. We decided to wear the same shirt to give the feel of being twins. haha.

Thank you to Haemi Jun and Sofia Aledia for inviting us and for these great photos! This was really a shoot and a experience that I won’t forget.

Through these photos you can really identify which is which. You can really see the difference. I am the serious one and he is the happy-go-lucky type of guy. :)

Hope you like this set! :)

The happy-go-lucky and the serious one.

Give me a wacky pose! haha. This is the cutest photo we have in this set.
